For all those PWI guys out there (and anyone else reading this) I have found the perfect start page, PWI Style. If you like your startup to be Google, Google mail, Yahoo mail, CNN, Digg, pwiclan.com, ect or you want your favorite page to be modulated into a startup page, then this is for you.

www.netvibes.com

Netvibes is a start up page very similar to Google customized startup. The difference is how much more advanced it is. Bellow is a taste of what it can do and the way I like my startup page. If you want to set yours up similar to mine then I can provide a tutorial. I put the pwi banner at the bottom of the page. FYI, my setup is running at 1280x1024. If you do not run that resolution then your page will look horrible if you set it up like mine.

Edit: This webpage so far has 8 million users. Many people are saying that this could be the new google start page.

I did some major editing and I almost have the netvibes module perfect. Here is an updated screenshot. It took a lot more effort to get it to look integrated with the default theme for netvibes. I actually had to create and heavily modify a theme on the website (You will only be able to use it for Recent Threads only). When I am done it will open a new tab in firefox like all the other modules on netvibes.

Widow, no need to worry about this new theme/page, I made sure that the permissions are still the same and it will be locked down to that page only. I just need to throw out all the useless code I don't need.

Added labels and killed the link so you cant goto profiles from netvibes.com. At the moment you have to alt click to get links to load in another window. I am having problems with the code so I sent a message to widow to see if he can do anything.

I have now finished the module. All that is left is to clean the code up. If you plan on using the module let me know. It would be nice if someone other then myself used it. I highly recommend that you at least give netvibes.com a try. It is definitely worth looking into. My next post will be a tutorial on how to set up the pwi module in netvibes. It is extremely easy and will take less then a minute. If you have any problems or run into any bugs let me know. I have found one so far. If you are in the admin control panel and you click a link within admin to show the page for the module the forum pages will use the wrong forum template. A temporary fix is to delete the cookie(s) for the website. I will look into this some other time to resolve this bug. There is also a problem if you view the module without being logged into the website. It will cause the module to stretch adding a vertical page bar on the right side. You can fix this by adding pixels verticaly for the module or signing into our website.

Bellow is a picture of the finished product.
