Well I got the new look going. Some items will slowly be replaced and fixed as I get them done.

No more mellow look with the dark blue. Hope you enjoy it.

Widow, your skills are higher and you are capable of doing way better. You just have a habit of rushing yourself. I realize this was done a few weeks back but you havn't done anything to it since then.

My skills might be better, and I might have rushed a bit. But I get no input from anyone except Allerun. Noone has given any suggestions as to what could be different. I haven't done anything since, cause my main comp is being upgraded this week and I have taken all material off of the hds to do a fresh install.

I'm on my laptop, and I hate doing photoshop work on my laptop.

well, if the background was a solid red and the forum borders were black instead of a greyish blue color, it would go well I think. The rank things are cool lookin tho.

I didn't give constructive feedback because I didn't like any of it, other then then beer and woman to the top left. using 2 primary colors will not make any site look good unless you use variants of contrast (like a detailed black and white photo).

Here is an option, how bout you base your shapes and colors from the beer and woman. If you want to use 2 main colors, then select 2 from the color of alcohol. glassy, sharp edge, golden ale with foam on the top mixed with with the soft touch of a woman from every mans dream place, hooters.

Well the grey and such will be fixed. I am by no means done with the site.

The colors are more or less set in that we are staying away from the darker tones. We (being Allerun and I since we were working together on it) decided the site needed to be a bit brighter. The site has been too dark and mellow for a long while. I will think about a different style top, but not sure what I will do yet.

It isn't exactly brighter. Your using a dark contrast with the colors you selected.

why can I not edit my post? I wanted to add that red is the worst color to use with a website for the simple fact of how it displays on different monitors. If yall are after a cheap look then keep using those colors together.

Anytime I do anything that involves photoshop, I look for a picture that is sorta what I'm after and build the rest from that. Your wanting to select two paintbrushes and use a blank canvas with nothing to base it from. Not even the best painters use only their imagination to make works of art. It might be illegal to copy someone's work but if they can't see a way to associate to what it originated from, then you have done nothing wrong.

There are millions of websites out there. I'm sure one looks similar to what you want. Look for that then let your imagination do the rest. I mentioned beer and hooters because they are associated with the basic idea behind what the website would be similar to. Maybe something even cooler would be to base the design around a pub (like a European one with an American touch).

Glad you like it. FYI there might be some functions of the website that might not work in the next few days. Mostly I think it will be in the menu bar at the top. I will be doing an upgrade and the menu tends to mess up when it happens. I need to do this upgrade though.

The site is getting closer to done. The upgrade is finished and the style imported nicely. I will be making small changes from time to time to places.
