Maybe. Depends on how bad newbs get beat on or if they are treated unfairly.

I would definitely be a newb, not having played the game.

I am worried that I would be wasting my time on here. Also, can folks cheat on this server, or do they have an anti-cheat going? Not that I even know if there is cheating going on, but I suspect there is at some level.

While there can be cheating, the admins ban whoever they catch cheating. Now since this is a private server they took a few liberties with it. You get pretty good beginner gear, and XP gain is way above normal, something like 35x the normal amount, and things sell for alot more, as well as the cap being 254 instead of the retail 70, Im only 30 right now so I got a long way to go before I start getting into the meaty stuff.

As for the newb stuff, Since I play retail I dunno what its like from a real newb perspective, but the questions I did have the people were nice about.

I played LOTR which is a duplicate of WoW. If you like doing quests and beating on stuff then its ok. I personally want something that requires skill to progress (skills as in fighting).

Pocket, I would say upload it and I would try it, but there is one thing holding me back, besides the fact that I am busy. The Sony Vaio I have just ain't what she used to be. I have breathed about as much new life into the old gal that I can, but she is ready to be retired to kid's game room for good.

It has gotten to the point now where about all I can do is run apps for the business on it. Running any graphics intense game for any amount of time results in the old gal sputtering and moaning, lol.

I still haven't got around to getting my new pc together, I can't seem to find the damn time. However, there is a silver lining to this dark cloud, and an BEAUTIFUL one at that!

I just found out a week ago is that there is a TIGER DIRECT store just minutes from where work is located! And I ain't talking about a little bitty store either, it has some SIZE to it, as well as carrying stuff other stores around here could only dream of. Hell, they even had a connector for an Alpha-Smart, something that NOBODY in this part of NC seemed to carry, or be able to order in a timely manner according to Kara and her school. I told her about Tiger Direct, she and the principal made a call, and they told her that they had 'em in stock.

Like I said, I want to try it, and if you upload it I will, but I don't if it will work very well on this pc. I WILL have an upgrade before the end of the month though.
