I don't have it. Worth buying? MGS and MGS2 were 2 of my favorite games.

I am a huge fan of MGS. I never played 2 or 3, but 4 is done very well. I would give it a minimum score of 9. Maybe more, but I'm not too far into the game.

I've played Metal Gear Solid - Twin Snakes. I have Metal Gear Solid 2 (DOS) and I've seen gameplay from MGS 3 and MGS 4 - and they seem to be great as well.

I just started act 3. There's alot of Cinematics in the game and the game play doesn't suffer. They even involve you cinematicly as well.

Well, I know people complained about a lot of cinematics in MGS4. I sort of don't know why, because - that's what's this game about. Eg. Metal Gear Solid Snake wouldn't make too much sense without cinematics (I mean, there are clues, explanations; also funny things), it'd be boring ... I don't know what else. I doubt I'd keep playing it. And that goes for other parts, I think.
However, it depends if we are talking about game (gameplay) or storyline.
